When, where, and with whom? On a weekday, With my coworkers (6 guys), at the office, for lunch.

Emotional/physical needs: we wanted something that everyone would like and where we can split the cost. We also wanted to order something we can take home or snack on throughout the rest of the day.

Decision process: one of the guys suggested pizza, and we all quickly agreed. Another option that we considered was eating lunch at the company cafe or primos for sandwhiches. We decided on dominos because it was close to pick up and fhere was a special.

Kind of pizza: half supreme, half pepporoni

Pros/cons: the pizza was a little greasy but we all really enjoyed it. We had some left over and snacked on it in the afternoon. The slices were also big enough for everyone. I personally don't like onions and peppers and felt like there was alot of it on the supreme. It was a good choice overall.

When, where, and with whom? On a Friday night, with my friend Brett, at her apartment in Bryn Mawr.

Emotional/physical needs: we wanted something easy and quick to eat before we went out to the bars

Decision process: my friend Brett decided on the kind of pizza before I got to her apartment. She felt like having mushroom pizza, so that's what was ordered. Another option was to go out to a restaurant for dinner.

Kind of pizza: half cheese, half mushrooms

Pros/cons: the only negative to the pizza was that the crust was too hard. I also did not feel too good to go out drinking afterwards, so perhaps it was not a good choice. But the pizza itself was good, overall

When, where, and with whom? On a weekday night, on my own in my apartment, around dinner time.

Emotional/physical needs: I was extremely hungry after a long day at work and not in the mood to cook. I was craving comfort food

Decision process? I was the only one involved in the decision process since I was having dinner by myself. The deciding factor was that the pizza place (seasons pizza) is close to my apartment and delivers quickly. Another option was to order chinese. I was not in the mood for really sodium heavy food.

Kind of pizza: margharita pizza - mozzorella and tomato

Pros/cons: the pizza was the best I had in a while. I felt full and satisfied afterwards. It was a good choice.

In my life, pizza is often used as a food to bring people together socially or in a work environment. More often than not, that is the reason pizza is ordered. The one time that I would like to order pizza but do not is when I am alone. Although I have ordered pizza on my own more than once, it is far and few inbetween. The reasons are that is it difficult to order one or two slices, and a young woman living on her own, I am not able to eat a full pie of pizza.

Another situation where pizza can be order but is typically not ordered is when I am babysitting. Although it is an easy fix for children that are hungry, it is difficult to coordinate more than one child and what they favor when it comes to the kind or flavor of pizza.

Two things that pizza stores/shops can do to better meet those needs in those situations is to have the option to split the pizza into 4's (most places on allow half/half). Another option is to make personal sized pizza's to order for those living on there own that don't want a whole pie to go to waste.

Sunday

On Sunday,  ate all my meals at home with the exception of my morning coffee. I was running errands with my dog and stopped by the drivethrough of dunkin donuts. I ordered a pumpkin white chocolate latte with whole milk. I wanted something that was going to wake me up but not as strong as black coffee.
The drink was a little to hot, and when I decided half way through it that I should have ordered an ice latte because it was nice outside. I started drinking it in my car and finished it while I was back at the apartment. Below is a picture of the cup and my puppy Hugo ordering the drink for me.

Saturday

Saturday

For breakfast, I made myself an egg and cheese omlete. I ate on the porch of my apartment alone. I was feeling peaceful and relaxed. I made the choice for breakfast based on what I had in my fridge.

Lunch

For lunch, my neighbors ( a couple)  and I went to the a restaurant called Brickside Grille in Exton. The weather was beautiful so we sat outside. There are children and couples sitting around us, the restaurant was bustling with activity. Sitting to our right was a family with a young puppy. In the outside seating area of the restaurant there was a water fountain that added to the scenic environment. I order the blackened swordfish fajitas. It was listed as a lunch special and the wattress recommended it. I had water for the drink. The swordfish was perfect! It came with a side sauce that I tried but decided it was too spicy for me. I felt satifisied afterwards but not too full. The server was great and quick to help. My neighbors had a burger/fries and soup. If I were to do one thing differently, I would order the fries. I tried one from my neighbor and they were delish!

For dinner, I went over to my neighbors new plaee. We had homemade spaghetti and meatballs with red wine to celebrate their new place.

Thursday into Friday

Thursday evening and Friday

I did not have dinner Thursday night, and as such didn't post. I wasn't feeling too well into Friday and had no appetite.

Friday

I stayed home from work today because I wasn't feeling so well the night before. I had tea at home but nothing else.

For lunch, I had my appetite back! I ordered chinese food - some crab wontons and dip. I used the eat24 app to place my order for delivery without having to call in. The chinese restaurant was called new tea garden in Phoenixville. I enjoyed the wontons as I watched TV in a robe. Afterwards, I felt really full and bloated. The order was good but had a little too much grease in it.

Dinner!

For dinner, my friends and I had pizza. I am not sure where they ordered the pizza from because it was there when I got to my friends apartment. Half of the pizza was cheese, the other was mushrooms. I had three slices with white wine! The pizza was a little cold  but I didn't mind. The best part was the mushrooms, the worst part was the crust that was really hard to bite into. I felt full but satisfied afterwards. We went out to the bars shortly after we had the pizza - maybe not the best choice of decisions.

Thursday - breakfast & lunch

Thursday

Breakfast was from starbucks today, a parfait and a coffee. Starbucks was on the way to work, and I was craving some yogurt - so off I went. I used the drivethrough to order and ate in the car while driving to work. I felt energized post-meal and ready to start my day!

Lunch was a cheesesteak from a local pizza shop called Sals. My coworkers decided on Sals because it was close to the office and it was a place where we could all order what we wanted as the menu was vast. We called in the order ahead of time and picked it up at the shop. I chose a cheesesteak hoagie, a few of my coworkers ordered sandwhichs and a pizza. We ate together (a team of 6). The cheesesteak was good but there was too much mayo on it. I felt uncomfortably full afterwards. The rest of the day is going to be tough!

Who I am and What I eat

I'm Sama! I'm 24, live on my own with my puppy roommate Hugo and working fulltime in finance. I'm your typical mid-20's lady, trying to juggle climbing the corporate ladder and enjoying the last of my early twenties. In my free time, I enjoy working out (crossfit, tennis, running and squash), dining out and shopping, and spending time with my friends, family and puppy.

Breakfast
My feeding schedule, so to speak, is fairly routine and on schedule. In the morning, I pick up wawa or wegmans to go on the way to work. Breakfast typically comes in the form of a bagel and cream cheese or a sausage, egg and cheese muffin. When I don't have time to brew my own coffee, I'll pick some up from wawa/wegmans. I am typically in a rush, and that is the biggest consideration when choosing breakfast. I go to places that are on the way to work. I eat breakfast, sadly, while driving in the car alone. I leave for work around 7:30 am every day and end up eating breakfast at that time.
(On weekends, I make a breakfast omelet at home and enjoy it with a redbull)

Lunch
Lunch is typically shared with coworkers. We have lunch anytime between 12:30-2:30 and eat at the office on a round table we all share. The biggest consideration when choosing where to eat lunch depends on where we can all agree on. This ranges from sushi to pizza to mcdonalds to subway. We rarely eat at the company cafeteria. This is the one meal that I am usually reall hungry for and have time to sit down and enjoy. It is also a type to socialize.

Snack
Around 4pm, I will have a mid-day snack and a cup of coffee or tea. The mid-day snack is usually from the vending machine (chocolate or chips), but sometimes can include a banana and yogurt or almonds.

Dinner
Dinner time depends on when I get out of work. When I leave work at 6pm, which is considered early, I will head home and cook dinner. I typically cook pasta, make a quick sandwhich, fix myself a salad or make a rice & fish type dish. The consideration during dinner at home is how healthy the meal is and whether I will be able to go to the gym afterwards and not feel too sluggish.

When I leave work late, I tend to pick up dinner or order delivery. The places I order from the most for delivery are dominos, seasons (a pizza place near my apartment) and the chinese/sushi restaurant. When I pick up dinner, the place I frequent the most is panera bread or subway. I choose this meal based on how quick I can get it. I am usually tired and in a rush on those days.

I typically have dinner alone and between 6:30-8:30pm. On weekends, I go out to dinner with my friends. I rarely cook or order dinner on the weekends, I always go out. The biggest consideration when choosing where to go out is what bars/events are near the restaurant and a place where everyone enjoys.
